Multiple selections Option group

I am using an option group with the allow multiple selections attribute, but I was wondering how do I store in a variable more than one value if I select multiple options? And how do I use that value to indicate what to do in case of multiple selections in code?

The change or interactivechange delegate is called with one argument. This is a comma separated list of numbers corresponding to the checkbox number e,g “2,4,7”.
