Instant selection and grid

I was doing a little bit of trial and I realized that this feature is not expected ..

Why the instant selection do not work on grid section, but only in aform section?

Hi Fabio,

My guess is that since the search panel on grid is more advanced and has contains, greater or equal to, or a full custom control, it is better off not being tied into the page search.

However, you can still get the functionality by putting a form page on top of the grid, setting the search field and then hiding the section with visible when 1=2.

That will work and add the history to the left side panel.

Hi Herb, yes, work.. is becoming all a trick ..

but then if I use the toolbar at the bottom, to scroll the data, is refreshed only the first record ..

And... why the instant selection is not "for the user"?
If I deploy the app, the user can not change the criteria of a filter..

You can set the filter manually in the change data event of the hidden record.

then, If I insert a form section to enable the instant selection if I press the "add" button on the botom tollbar, this inserta a row in the "form section".. not in the grid

however, the toolbar at the bottom, does not work with the grid ..
is a bug or not provided?

The navigation bar in a page controls the navigation in form or canvas sections, not grids which have their own navigation bar.

The first form section with a search field is that target of instant search and instant selection. These have nothing to do with grids.

Take a step back and open each of the example applications one by ine and see what they do and how they do it.

Go read the developers guide and the users guide again which provide an overview of the layout of a page.

I'm just trying to create something that has certain features, but for now I can not, there are examples that I have not yet given the right inspiration.
